what-we-do

Our Mission

To make a difference in the lives of cancer-stricken children, adolescents, and their families, by giving them access to the highest quality care and service possible regardless of their financial status.

Our Vision

To globally help reduce the mortality rate of impoverished children suffering from cancer, particularly in developing countries, through financial assistance.

The International Society for Children with Cancer (ISCC) was formed in keeping with the 4th goal of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals; to help reduce child mortality by the target date of 2015. ISCC is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) non-governmental, non-political organization that was co-founded by Mrs. Saideh Ghods and Mrs. Fereshteh Tavakoli in Chatsworth, CA in June of 2004.

We believe that no child suffering from cancer should be left untreated. Thus, our purpose and commitment is to globally increase access to treatment for underprivileged children with cancer and support their families during the healing process.

ISCC is publicly supported through donations from individuals, charitable foundations and businesses that recognize the urgent need to improve treatment and cure childhood cancers. All contributions to ISCC are tax deductible. ISCC raises funds through gifts from individuals, special giving programs, membership, events, corporate sponsorships, grants,

Nowruz Bazaar and the sale of note cards drawn by children fighting cancer.
