Open
May 19 is marked as the 9th anniversary of passing away of Prof. Parvaneh Vossough; a Precious scientist, compassionate physician and a devoted person. Undoubtedly, pediatric oncology in Iran would not be what is today without her efforts and dedication. May her memory and her fulfilling life of humanitarian

ISCC 14th Annual Nowruz Bazaar in Review:

ISCC’s 14th annual Nowruz Bazaar was a tremendous success. It took place over 17 days at our office location in Irvine. An overwhelming number of Shoppers joined us over the two weeks from most of Southern California. At this bazaar like previous years attendees could purchase, Haftseen Items, homemade Torshi, Moraba, Shirin, Premade Haftseens and decorative items. Numerous items were restocked several times due to selling out.

On Saturday and Sunday March 12th and 13th we expanded the shopping to a festival for children and adults, with live Music, Haji Firouz, children’s activities, food trucks and much more. Although up until few months prior to Nowruz we were not certain of the Covid situation we had made every effort to create a Covid friendly environment and continue our tradition of bring this Charitable, cultural event to our community and Southern California.

We are proud to announce through generosity of our supporters at this Bazaar we have raised treatment cost of over 70 Mahak Children.

On behalf of children of MAHAK and volunteers of ISCC, we thank the community for taking part in this year’s bazaar. Your support has allowed us to bring Nowruz to your homes and deliver the Beacon of HOPE for children with cancer and their families.

PIGGY BANK (GHOLLAK) DRIVE
ONE MORE WAY TO HELP A CHILD WITH CANCER

ISCC’s Piggy Bank (Ghollak) Program is designed to foster philanthropy and civic duty in children and adults while saving a cancer-stricken child’s life worldwide. We appreciate your support and encourage your participation.

YOU CAN GET INVOLVED WITH THIS MOVEMENT IN ONE OF FEW WAYS:
CHILDREN
Place a piggy bank in your child room and encourage them to make a small donation daily or weekly. Explain to them that their loose change can add up to make a big difference in a cancer stricken child’s #life.

ADULTS
Place a piggy bank in your home and make a habit of donating daily or weekly.

BUSINESS OWNERS
Provide counter space for an ISCC’s Piggy Bank and create opportunities for your customers to donate to our program. This small change makes a significant difference, saving lives every day.

PIGGY BANK DRIVES
Hold an ISCC’s Piggy Banks drive at your school, place of worship, office or place of business.

The piggy Banks are typically distributed at many of ISCC’s event. You can also pick up your Piggy Banks from ISCC’s office.

ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL:

ISCC started making annual contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2008 in order to take part in their efforts to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric cancer through research and treatment. Discoveries made at St. Jude have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer. St. Jude has treated children from across the United States and from more then 70 countries. St. Jude Global, a major expansion of the former St. Jude International Outreach Program, is a strategic initiative led by the St. Jude Department of Global Pediatric Medicine to improve the survival rate of children worldwide through the transfer of knowledge, technology and organizational skills.

Happy World Health Day

With a spark of happiness in her eyes, she grabbed her mother’s hand with her own. She was shy and hid behind her mother. Everybody was saying goodbye to her.
As her oncologist said she has defeated cancer and has not to take medicine and drops every day; and referring to the Hospital for periodic tests is enough. Indeed, she has passed the challenging treatment days and regained her health. What a great feeling!
As the greatest wealth is health; we along with the ever-growing family of MAHAK put our efforts to all our little heroes throughout the country will regain their health.
On the occasion of World Health Day, we appreciate your constant support and wish you all health.

It is with great sorrow; we announce the passing of Dr Parviz Azarmehr DDS. He was a respected member of ISCC Board and a supporter from the early days of ISCC inception. He was a committed member of our Board and made efforts to kindly and so sweetly attend all galas, meetings and gatherings. We were honored for him to always mention us as his favorite Charity. His insight, guidance and kindness were instrumental for ISCC development and growth.

He was a man of great character, a professor at USC dental school, a mentor to thousands of students and a philanthropist at heart.

His passing leaves a huge loss for our community. His legacy will live on through his children and all his philanthropic endeavors. On behalf of our founder, the Board of Directors, and anyone who crossed path with him at ISCC we express our condolences to his lovely wife Dr. Han Young Pak Azarmehr and his children Dr. Arleen and Mr. Shahin Azarmehr.

His family has kindly requested for donations to ISCC in lieu of flowers.
