Iranian-born philanthropist and author of Kimia Khatoon, Mrs. Ghods has dedicated her life to improving cancer treatment in Iran after her daughter was diagnosed with cancer. Inspired by her personal experiences, she co-founded MAHAK, a non-profit organization supporting children with cancer and their families. Founded in 1991, MAHAK has grown into a respected international organization, now operating its own hospital.
Mrs. Ghods’ work has extended to founding other NGOs, such as ISCC and BCSI, aimed at enhancing cancer treatment and environmental initiatives in Iran. Her book, Kimia Khatoon, has received critical acclaim and is being considered for a feature film. Today, Mrs. Ghods continues to travel globally, fundraising and advocating for cancer treatment and charitable causes.
