Fattaneh Abbaszadeh Tavassoli, MD
Dr. Tavassoli graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1972 and trained in Anatomic Pathology at Barnes Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Gynecologic Pathology. She then joined the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, eventually becoming chairman of the Department of Breast and Gynecologic Pathology. Later, she became a professor at Yale University and director of the Women’s Health program before retiring in 2016. Dr. Tavassoli is the author of multiple medical texts, including Pathology of the Breast, and has published over 220 articles. She has received numerous awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award and recognition as one of the Best Doctors in America.
