Dr. Nima Gharavi is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). He is currently Director of Dermatologic Surgery and Mohs micrographic surgery for the Department of Dermatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and an Assistant Clinical Professor at Cedars-Sinai and UCLA.
Dr. Gharavi is a summa cum laude graduate of UCLA in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology with a specialization in Business and Administration. He received both his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed his residency in dermatology and fellowship in procedural dermatology/Mohs micrographic surgery at UCLA. Dr. Gharavi is the recipient of numerous awards and grants, has published over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts and textbook chapters, and continues to present and teach at national and international conferences. He has been an active supporter of ISCC since 2008.
