ISCC Kids’ Cancer Walk-a-thon Free Thanks to Sponsors

Summary: ISCC is hosting a summer festival this month to raise money for kids with cancer. This festival will include a walk-a-thon, a volleyball tournament, crafts and games for kids, and snack and lunch stations. Participation in the walk-a-thon is free for all who wish to participate.

IRVINE, CA, July 9, 2012 /ISCC/ -- The International Society for Children with Cancer (ISCC) will be hosting a summer festival in an effort to raise money for children with cancer and their families. This festival will take place on Sunday, July 15th from 8am-4pm at Mason Regional Park 18712 University Drive Irvine, CA 92612 Shelter #1.

This upcoming summer festival will include a 2k walk-a-thon, a volleyball tournament, face painting, games for the kids, and snack and lunch stations. The walk-a-thon has caught the eye of several corporate sponsors who have offered to cover the registration costs for any walker that joins their team. Walkers who wish to walk for free only have to come to the park and join a sponsor’s team. Sponsors will donate money to ISCC on behalf of every walker on their team. For those who do not wish to be sponsored, registration for the walk-a-thon or the volleyball tournament is $25. Onsite registration for the walk-a-thon begins at 8am. Walking begins at 9am. Onsite registration for the volleyball tournament begins at 9am. The volleyball tournament takes place at 10am.
