Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children between the ages of 1 and 19. An estimated 160,000 children around the world are diagnosed with cancer every year. Less than one fifth of these children receive the care they need, simply because they live in less-developed countries, where the resources to deliver adequate medical treatment are lacking. Access to proper medical care would save tens of thousands of children worldwide annually. Children are our most precious resource. When they’re gravely ill, we want the best care for them. Let us all do our best to make sure that no child that suffers from cancer will lose their fight due to poverty.
